Familyless Friday

Today is Toby's eleventh birthday! A little orphan that has begged for a family for most of his life is now celebrating his eleventh birthday with a loving Christian family that he can finally call his own. A family who crossed the ocean to get him. A family that would not trade Toby for anything in this world. The Meyer family.
Toby was a five pound premie. I was a twenty-four week gestation one pound, five ounces, and twelve inches long premie. Toby's mother chose life for Toby. However, she chose to give him up to be adopted. Toby was was in the N-I-C-U several weeks before he was taken to an orphanage. I was in the Intensive Care Unit exactly nine full to-the-date before I was brought home for the first time ever. My mother was advised to abort one or two of her triplets. If she had chosen one, then she would have chosen the weakest of all of her triplets. That weakest triplet was me. I was the second triplet to be born. My brother came first, and my sister came first. Sadly, my sister lived a little over a day, and my brother 4 months after we were born-he also died on our dew date. Yes, that means the weakest triplet is also the strongest triplet. I have so many stories to share about my past. Those stories will be for more blog-posts sometime in the furtive. I have always wondered why Jesus allowed my triplets to die, and let the weakest triplet to actually be the strongest of them all.
"I have had enough, LORD,"-Elijah, 1 Kings 19:4
Happy eleventh birthday, Toby! I love you so very much. Hugs and love!

Waiting Wednesday

Since I am committed to something very, very important I just honestly don't have the time to blog anymore, like I did last month. I am honestly not doing a lot of the things that I used to do all of the time anymore. It may be several months before I can blog next. I am honestly sorry for being so quiet, but that doesn't mean I have stopped caring about Toby. No. Never ever! Even though I can't advocate for him as much as I did I still care and I love him very, very deeply. Please keep the Meyer family in your prayers. Until next time, Jesus is a good idea!
Hugs to you, Toby!

Sweetheart Saturday

The only up-date I have on Toby is that Tuesday they have some "documents" to deal with, Wednesday Toby will be released from his institute FOREVER and the family will come to America a few days after that. Hopefully on Thursday, December 24, 2015-Christmas Eve 2015! The family is in a 10 day waiting period. After the 10 day waiting period is all over and finally finished up with Toby should be released this coming week from his orphanage FOREVER!!!! I am crossing my fingers and counting down until Wednesday by praying my heart out that everything will go well, and that Toby WILL come home to America to HIS new family very, very soon!!!!
I have had a very, very week this week! Tuesday left South-West, Virginia at 7:30 AM to travel to Charlottesville for me to choose new glasses and frames, and size the ones I currently own. After that we traveled to Maryland to spend the night with my mom's aunt and uncle's house. Wednesday we went down-town Baltimore for my appointment with the functional eye dr. at John's Hopkins-it was my very first appointment, by the way. Then back to Maryland for another over-night visit. Thursday we went to Balltimore for my regular eye dr. appointment at John's Hopkins. Then we went to Richmond for a doctors appointment for me and my dietary issues. Then we headed back to Charlottesville to pick the new frames and new glasses and give the prescription for them to the people at the Spectacle Shop from my eye dr.. after that my mom wanted to do some shopping since we don't have Trader Joe's or Whole Foods at home. Then we made the 4 hour-drive home to South-West, Virginia. We literally pulled in our drive-way at 12:00 AM yesterday morning. I go back to Charlottesville in a couple of weeks to pick up the new glasses and frames.
What a week! I am absolutely taking this weekend to rest. I didn't blog because I was restng yesterday. Ugh! What a week I have had! Anyone else have a crazier week then me? Now I am off to do some more desperately needed resting.
